Emotions ~ All over again.

She looked into his eyes brimming with tears, reflecting her own eyes. But he was quick to blink them away before she could do anything. If love hurts, it pains even more. He turned around and walked away as fast as he could, running away from the bitter past just like he always did. She was braver than he was. She was ready to face her fears and confront her past. He used to be a very courageous person. It's a pity that he can't look into her eyes today. Those eyes in which he'd drown himself in. Those eyes in which he'd look and lose the count of minutes and hours. She looked at his fading figure and gave a bitter smile. She knew she made mistakes that can't be forgiven but he's not a saint either. She might be at fault, but he's not faultless either. Him turning a blind eye towards the past, she believes is the greatest reason he's suffering and in turn, she is. Both loved eachother, and if given a chance would accept in a heartbeat to get things to normal. She no longer flaunted her talents and he no longer looked at people with an intention to know their talents. Long lost was their affection but it's effect, was still burning hard in their hearts. The tears in their eyes, if anything, was a proof of their hidden feelings. They had questions in dire need of answers, hopes that they wished would become reality, trust that was questioned, faith that was broken, words that were unsaid. Time, for them, was never a healer and the wounds that they gave eachother only became more painful and deeper with time. Today when the time which was unable to heal them, brought them face to face, to sort it out by themselves, they looked away from each other as if they are not meant to be looking at each other. There was a time when they'd make eachother strong and today they make each other vulnerable. The realization struck them as the distance between them increased, never ceasing to grow. He turned around to find her standing still in the same place she was in when he was no longer able to look into her eyes, without guilt. She felt the guilt too, but she forced herself to face it and hear the verdict. She was caught off guard when he turned around and couldn't help the blush creeping on her cheeks despite her distress. He moved towards her at a pace slower than the snail, at least that's what she felt. She wanted to move ahead, move towards him, but all her might was over. All her strength was gone and she stood rooted at the spot staring at him. As he came closer, she found it almost impossible to look away from his eyes and so did he. At last, he finally reached her, distance between them decreasing, heartbeats rising and breaths hitching, their hands in air barely touching. A small movement and there'd be sparks all around. As the time leapt, they came closer, the closest possible under the given circumstances. At that moment, they knew, they knew that there were no explanations required and no justifications needed. All that was wanted was togetherness and happiness, the happiness they get when they together. They leaned a bit and as their lips touched, all was well again.
